NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Big Ben Strikes To Deny Nailers

Belper Town's failure to take their first half chances cost them dear as Coleshill came out fighting after the break to earn a share of the spoils. The Nailers had their best moments in the first period of this hard fought game, with Kevin Bastos causing the Coleshill defence problems. His mazy run in the second minute took him past three players before setting up Liam Moran who had his shot saved. Bastos then had a 16th minute effort saved after another good run with the ball, and he was there again two minutes later when he saw his effort bounce off Cameron Belford in the Coleman's goal. Moran forced another fine save out of Belford before the Nailers took a deserved lead. This time, Bastos executed the perfect through ball for Diego De Girolamo to run on and round the keeper to score. There was no further goals in the first half, and the visitors were more prominent after the break. They kept the hosts busy defensively for long periods, and it was no surprise when Benjamin Usher-Shipway hit a low drive beyond Kieran Preston to level the scores. Belper still found rare opportunities at the other end, and after 65 minutes Bastos had another effort blocked before Moran saw his follow-up effort pushed wide to keep the scores level. Coleshill's substitutes made the difference for the visitors and as pressure mounted on Belper Alex McSkeane saw his 92nd minute shot saved at full stretch and Daniel Gyasi could have won it for Coleshill moments after when his effort went over the bar. On the balance of play a share of the points was about the right outcome in this keenly-fought contest.
