Debutant Oliver Wilson scored the only goal as Basford United cemented their top five position with victory against Coleshill Town. The big striker signed by the Ambers earlier in the week after dropping down a division from Hednesford Town. Basford goalkeeper Mathew Yates was kept on his toes in the early stages and had to dive down low to deny a 10th minute effort. Three minutes later United responded and Jordan Hallam’s cross was met by defender Dwayne Wiley who headed wide at the far post. Ben Usher-Shipway fired wide for Coleshill before Basford’s winner came with 13 minutes remaining when skipper Wilder saw his cross deflected into the air for debutant Wilson to net.
