MATCH REPORT
This was the first ever meeting of these two sides. Rugby Borough have made rapid progression coming from a Junior club and only going into Senior football in 2017. Following promotion last season they have had a good start in the NPL Midland Division with a single defeat in their nine games so far. It was a very close first half but the home side took the lead on the stroke of half time as ex Coleshill player Amarvir Sandhu surprisingly went down in the box after a challenge by Joe Fitzpatrick and ex Corby player Tendai Daire scored from a penalty. There was still little difference between the two teams until Tyreace Brown was sent off for a second yellow card just after the hour mark. Coleshill battled on well and thought they had gained a well deserved point when captain Taylor Carter-Byrne scored an equaliser on 83mins, a looping header from a Ben Usher-Shipway free kick, but Borough found a winner in the last minute when Kohyrelon danced passed several defenders to score. Coleshill are having a tough time in the league but their effort in this game should have been rewarded with a point.
