MATCH REPORT
You know exactly what you are going to get from a Loughborough Students team, young, fit, well organised and at it for the whole 90 minutes. Coleshill matched them at their own game but just had the extra bit of experience to edge a very entertaining game. It was end to end stuff for the first 45 minutes but due to both keepers pulling off fine saves, it was goalless by the break. Coleshill edged in front early in the second half as Michael Tait-Moran scored his first goal for the Colemen, controlling a cross from Daniel Gyasi and finding the net from just inside the box. Gyasi scored himself on 62 minutes and when Gio Dainty hit a left foot beauty into the net from just outside the box with just 15 minutes to play it all looked over for the Students. But they rallied and hit back. Loughborough had a very good shout for a penalty turned down, then goals by Spiteri on 82mins and Issa on 87 and all of a sudden Coleshill were hanging on. The full time whistle couldn't come quick enough! Who would have thought that Gio's casually hit rocket would by the differance between a win and a draw!

The Colemen Dig Deep for a Thrilling 3–2 Victory Over Loughborough Students
Report By Ian Pugh

It was a night of grit, guile, and glorious goals at Pack Meadow as Coleshill Town edged past a relentless Loughborough Students side in a pulsating 3–2 win. From the terraces, it was a rollercoaster of emotions—but one that ended with fists pumping and voices raised in celebration.

Loughborough came out of the blocks with energy to burn, dominating the first 20 minutes with slick movement and tireless running. But The Colemen stood firm. Belford marshalled his box with authority, and the back line refused to buckle. Slowly, the tide began to turn. Coleshill grew into the game, winning the second 20 minutes with sharper attacking intent and more frequent sights of goal.

The breakthrough came just four minutes after the restart. Gyasi, ever the menace down the flank, slipped a clever ball into the path of Michael Tait-Moran, who coolly slotted home his first goal for Coleshill. A composed finish, a roaring cheer, and a well-earned lead.

Coleshill were in full flow by the hour mark. On 62 minutes, a low cross zipped across the six-yard box to the far post, where Gyasi met it with a first-time strike. The keeper got a hand to it, but the ball had already crossed the line. 2–0, and Pack Meadow was bouncing.

Then came the moment of magic. On 75 minutes, a loose ball fell to Gio Dainty 20 yards out. With the outside of his left boot, he curled a beauty past the full-stretched keeper and inside the far post. A goal worthy of any highlight reel—and one that had the home crowd in raptures.

But Loughborough weren’t done. On 82 minutes, Spiteri pulled one back, and just minutes later, Issa bent a free kick over the wall to beat Belford and make it 3–2. The final minutes were tense, with Loughborough throwing everything forward. Yet Coleshill held firm, showing the kind of resilience that defines this squad.

With the win secured, attention now turns to the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round against Hednesford Town. Another tough test awaits—but with your support, anything is possible. Let’s pack the Meadow again and roar The Colemen on to the next chapter.
