NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Wellingborough Town's wait for a home win continued as they fell to Coleshill Town at the Dog and Duck, despite the presence of star signing Nile Ranger. An evenly balanced first half offered few clear openings, but the visitors found the breakthrough just after the hour when Ben Usher-Shipway produced a moment of quality after 64 minutes cutting inside onto his right foot before curling a superb strike beyond Dean Snedker and into the top corner. The Doughboys rallied late on, with Danny Draper unleashing a powerful effort from outside the area, only for Cam Belford to stretch and tip it wide. Ranger worked tirelessly on his debut, showing flashes of sharpness, but Coleshill's disciplined defence held firm, the victory lifting them to tenth place in the table.

MATCH REPORT
Usher-Shipway Strikes as Coleshill Edge Wellingborough in Gritty Away Win
By Ian Pugh

Coleshill Town FC dug deep and delivered a hard-fought 1–0 victory away at Wellingborough on Saturday, with Ben Usher-Shipway’s composed finish capping off a moment of real quality in a game defined by resilience and defensive steel.

The decisive goal came midway through the second half after a slick move down the right flank. Usher-Shipway sparked the attack with a surging run, feeding the ball into Skeano, who showed great strength to hold off his marker. With no clear sight of goal, Skeano cleverly laid the ball back to Ben, who had followed up with intent. With time and precision, he picked his spot and slotted the ball past the keeper, nestling it inside the far post.

A goal of real class, built on teamwork and awareness. From there, The Colemen showed their mettle. Wellingborough’s new signing, Nile Ranger — ex premier league Newcastle striker — was kept quiet by a disciplined back line that refused to yield.

Every challenge was met, every header won, and when the hosts did carve out a late chance, Cameron was equal to it, tipping a fierce effort over the bar with a superb reflex save that preserved the clean sheet.

It was a performance that blended attacking sharpness with defensive grit — the kind of win that builds belief and momentum.
