First Team Manager Grant Joshua says it how it is!
On form you'd probably say that yesterday's result was no surprise but in all honesty that couldn't have been further from the truth. I thought for 60 minutes we dominated a football match. Problem is games don't finish at the hour mark and yet again for the last quarter of the game we became passive and looked nervous in our lead, first goal is school boy defending not following a full back into our box for a tap in and the free kick is world class in the last minute to be fair to the kid, I have to say I never envisaged being where we are in the league at Christmas and the players found out the harsh truths after the game in regards to where I stand on that going forward. The players have to take responsibility for that and some do, I have protected them on multiple occasions this season but not for the last two results I can't, they have to own that and realise they're at our level for a reason and have to get back to basics of non league football. I just have a feeling that this group will come out swinging Boxing Day after what's been said and I back them to do it in a game which will have fireworks for sure for many different reasons. It's a game for me against a club I spent 5 very good years at and had success during that time but the reality is they're just another team in our way of three points.
